Looking at the Proflow range with exclusive New Zealand distributor Fast Lane Spares

In business since 2016, Fast Lane Spares in Palmerston North has supplied not only its locality of Manawatu but the nation with quality performance componentry. Company owner Rob Miers and son Luke saw the need for a primarily speedway-based operation that supported the likes of stock cars and super stocks and the business has evolved over time to cater to the V8 and performance sectors of the industry.

“Speedway is a seasonal sport — the off season can get quite quiet — but we saw a lot of people coming in to buy the same products to modify their road-going cars,” says Luke, “things like suspension and steering components, fuel systems, electrical items, and even the safety gear. That’s when we got involved with the Proflow brand — after seeing its massive range first-hand and wanting to offer our customers not only the quality of product you get with Proflow but the competitive pricing too.”

Proflow has been designing and engineering industry-leading fluid-transfer components and high-performance products since 2008, with one of the largest ranges of fittings and performance parts on the market. It quickly built a name for top quality and great value, stating that the team, “take pride in every part we make and have zero tolerance for imperfection”.

Since 2019, Fast Lane Spares has been the exclusive New Zealand distributor for Proflow products, stocking a serious quantity of the range at its dedicated showroom. Luke tells us that some of the most popular items have included the full host of fittings, adaptors, and hose, while they are seeing an increasing demand for not only exhaust components, oil coolers, and catch-cans but also intake manifolds, air filters, one-wire alternators, high-energy-ignition (HEI) distributors, and rocker covers. Any Proflow product that isn’t currently in stock at Fast Lane can quickly and easily be ordered in the weekly stock delivery, meaning there’s no freight charge and the wait time is short.

The Proflow range has a whole heap to offer the industry, and, with a local distributor keeping us well stocked and tapped into the bloodline, your next upgrade is only an easy phone call or shop visit away.

Proflow fittings and hose

At the core of the Proflow range is the vast range of fittings, adaptors, and hoses. The company has built a reputation for state-of-the-art fluid-transfer components, taking on competitors for competitive pricing while maintaining a high level of quality. Whether you’re looking for AN fittings and braided hose for fuel upgrades, adaptors and plugs for lubrication, or a whole host of products for cooling, Proflow has them — even those you didn’t know existed — making difficult tasks wildly easy to accomplish.

All fuel-system-related products are tested using ethanol-based fuels as well as other exotic race fuels to ensure that they maintain their integrity at the highest performance levels and are manufactured to comply with SAE and metric standards.

Proflow LS EFI High-Rise Intake Manifolds

As the range of LS products grows, so does the demand for high-quality parts. Proflow is leading the field in catering for this demand with its range of LS fabricated manifolds. Whatever your set-up, Proflow has you covered. These manifolds are a direct bolt-on unit to suit LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, and LS7 engines. They come with O-rings and mounting bolts. A range of optional accessories is available, including Proflow’s 102mm throttle body, fuel rails, adaptors, and fittings to suit.

Proflow Cast Valve Covers

Everyone knows that it’s no good having a killer-looking car only to open the bonnet and find the engine bay is seriously lacking in visual appeal. Once you’re done sorting out all those fluid systems with Proflow gear, the next step is an easy one: get yourself a set of Proflow cast valve covers, available to suit a range of engine packages. The Chevrolet big block 4¼-inch-tall example not only offers an old-school look with a machined finned alloy cover in black anodized but accommodates most roller-rocker combinations, as do the Chev 396 454 Tall, Ford 429/460, Cleveland 302 351C, Windsor 289 302 351, and small block Chev options. There’s even black satin or polished LS options with coil mounting.
