The recent Enzed Central Muscle Cars (CMC) trip to Bathurst was the culmination of around five years of planning — and at various stages it looked like it would never happen. It did though, and will go down in the history books as an epic time had by all … or almost all.
With disparity between the CMC cars and the Australian TCM cars, of which they would race, rev limits were imposed to theoretically bring the cars’ performance levels back in line with each other.
It was always going to be a gamble to see how it went, especially going up against a class that’s seen many Bathurst events and drivers who’ve managed countless laps around the iconic venue.
The team did New Zealand proud though, and drivers couldn’t be happier with how the event went.
We’ve got a full event report in Issue No. 139 of NZV8, but here’s the quick and fast results list, along with a bunch of photos that didn’t make it to print.
