HSV has announced that three limited-edition models are set to hit showroom floors later in 2016 in celebration of its 340kW, 6.2-litre LS3 V8 power plant.

The first of these limited-edition models is the SV Black, available in both ClubSport R8 and Maloo R8 guise. The SV Black edition will have unique satin-black 20-inch alloy wheels, black AP Racing forged four-piston brake calipers, black door surrounds and lower-door accenting, shadow-chrome exhaust tips, and distinctive black badging.
Production is due to commence in June, and the cars will be available at an RRP of NZ$81,490 for the ClubSport R8 SV Black manual and NZ$78,990 for the Maloo R8 SV Black automatic. Only 18 ClubSports and two Maloos are scheduled for New Zealand delivery, so demand is sure to be strong.
The two further and final LS3 limited-edition models — Grange SV and ClubSport R8 Track — will follow in September. Just 50 Grange SVs will be produced — a final tribute to the nameplate that will cease production at the end of October. The vehicles will feature all the usual Grange luxury-limo items, as well as 20-inch SV Rapier gloss-black forged alloy wheels, black AP Racing forged four-piston brake calipers, and a distinctive exterior treatment.
The ClubSport R8 Track edition will be the perfect vehicle for the weekend warrior, with the 340kW LS3 engine being aided by GTS-spec yellow AP Racing forged six-piston brake calipers and upgraded suspension. Spring and damper rates have been stiffened to reduce body roll and further improve corner-entry response, while a Hyperflow Performance spoiler and suede-covered sports-profile steering wheel further accentuate the model’s track bias. Visually, the cars will be distinguishable by their 20-inch Blade forged alloy wheels.
