Ford have been making waves recently with their brand-new Ford Mustang and other performance models around the globe, including the uber-desirable Focus RS pedalled by Ken Block in various viral videos. Much closer to home though, John Andrew Ford are making their own waves with their very own Ford Mustang.
At 10pm on June 9, John Andrew Ford will be starting an auction for a uniquely modified Ford Mustang 5.0-litre manual at a $1 reserve on Trade Me, with all proceeds going towards Camp Quality, a charity designed to help children and their families dealing with cancer.
The recently released Mustang, which we wrote about earlier this year, has proven to be immensely popular, and is currently on back order until 2017!
Last year, Ford conducted a study to find out which model, transmission, and upgrades are the most popular among Mustang fans. What they found out was fairly interesting, with fans wanting a fastback manual in the Magnetic colour, with BM13 Savini D–cast forged alloy wheels measuring 20 inches, wrapped in Bridgestone S001 tyres. In terms of performance, the Mustang will have a Stage 3 CTB / Ford Performance Tuning upgrade package installed, which increases power to 500kW (670hp) at the flywheel. These upgrades have seen this Mustang value in at $115,000.
If you’re in the market for a Ford Mustang such as this, and don’t want to wait until 2017 for a new one, this example will be available for collection right after the sale. The auction concludes June 16, so get involved!
