Over the years we’ve featured some amazing cars in NZV8 magazine, and with our next issue being our 10th Birthday Special, we decided to try and pick some favourites from the archives.
Of course with so many cars to choose from, it wasn’t easy to get a consensus, but below is what we here in the office voted as our favourite cars from the first year and second year of the magazine.

1973 Plymouth Barracuda (Wayne Grimmer)
The bright-red Plymouth Barracuda, owned by Wayne Grimmer at the time of the feature, is one seriously tough machine. Immaculately presented inside and out, the ’Cuda also runs nine-second quarter-miles, thanks to the enormous, naturally aspirated 604ci Ray Barton Hemi under the hood. Mini tubs and a perfect drag-racing stance offer a timeless take on one of America’s muscle-car kings.

1970 Plymouth Barracuda (Brendon Tordoff)
‘SIKFSH’ is the amazing 1970 ’Cuda owned by Brendon Tordoff, and it’s a perfect example of a show-quality build. The arrow-straight body, finished in obligatory ‘Plum Crazy’ paint, boasts a range of ever-so-subtle modifications, and sits low on QA1 coilovers over big Alcon brakes, and even bigger Intro billet wheels. A tastefully leather-clad interior, with all the bells and whistles, and refreshed 383ci Mopar V8 round off the package.
