Our top 15 of 2015: 1934 Ford coupe

24 December 2015

Over the course of 2015, we’ve featured no less than 69 cars, so when it came time to narrow down to our top 15 of 2015, we seriously struggled. Below is what we narrowed it down to. With the standard of builds being completed in the country skyrocketing, it was no easy feat to choose. We looked at what cars we’d love to have parked in our own garages, and this is what we came up with — in no particular order. Here’s another of our Top 15, and you can check out an earlier listing here

Bobby Owens — 1934 Ford coupe

Those who were around in the Thunder Park days will likely recall Bobby Owen’s ‘34 Coupe trying to turn itself inside out with every sideways pass down the quarter mile. Even now that Bobby’s got a dedicated race car, the Coupe is still pretty much as insane as it was back then, and as such has created a cult following. The car’s never been on a dyno, mainly because Bobby doesn’t have one in his garage, and that’s where it’s been built, tuned and modified, but just looking at it, you can tell it’s got plenty of power, and that’s before the blown 454ci big block is fired into life. It’s an animal.
