Household hose bans are something that lots of us have had to deal with at some point of our lives, and now even more so, given the fact our biggest city has banned their use for the past six months, with no sign of a let up. This aside, there are also those times when you just don’t have access to a hose or water, but your car still needs a clean — like after a three-hour drive to attend a show or cruise. Meguiar’s Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax is a simple-to-use spray-on solution that will lift off dust and dirt without damaging the paint work, while also waxing the surface. It’s safe to use on all-gloss paint surfaces from your plastic trims to your chrome and glass.

The process is as you’d expect, about as simple as they come, although there are a few little tips and tricks we will throw your way to ensure you get the job done right the first time and with best results.

Take two clean microfibre cloths and fold them into quarters. You can apply Meguiar’s Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax in any conditions, including direct sunlight. Work on a single panel at a time and spray the panel liberally. Take your first cloth and wipe the bulk of the grime off with a single direction swiping across the entire panel.

Give the panel another light dusting of Meguiar’s Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax, and then take your second Meguiar’s microfibre, polishing the surface to a shine.

It’s best practice to start with the body panels and then work toward the trim and lastly to the wheels. If the first microfibre becomes soaked through, swap it for a fresh one and continue on.

Meguiar’s Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax is available in a 768ml spray applicator, which is enough to clean three to five average-sized cars.
